A) Guidelines for Writing Articles in the Quarterly "Langauge Studies and Military Translation"
The "Langauge Studies and Military Translation" quarterly magazine, published by the Faculty of Language and Literature of Imam Ali University, extends an invitation to thinkers and researchers to contribute their latest scientific theories and findings in the realms of military translation, language studies and associated disciplines. Additionally, the journal facilitates the exchange and publication of innovative thoughts and ideas within this field. Authors are encouraged to submit their research findings in the form of scientific-research articles, reviews, and translations for potential publication in this quarterly journal via the journal's email.
General Notes:
- Each article should begin with the title, name(s) of the author(s), affiliated organization, and author's email address.
- Both Persian and English abstracts, each comprising 150 to 200 words, should be provided, accompanied by at least three keywords below the abstract.
- Research sources should be as current as possible and adhere to APA guidelines for citation and referencing.
Specifications of Types of Articles:
1. Research Article:
- Research articles should range between 6000 and 8000 words and include sections such as introduction, research background, research method, presentation of results, discussion, and conclusion.
- In articles based on experimental research, detailed explanations regarding the teaching method or use of the independent variable should be provided.
- Tables and charts should be clearly titled and explained.
- These articles can be presented in various forms, including short articles, case studies, methodologies, practical articles, viewpoints, conceptual pieces, and promotional articles.
2. Review Article:
- A review article synthesizes recent research on a specific topic to enhance understanding and provide a concise summary.
- Review articles should range between 6000 and 8000 words and encompass sections such as introduction, background, and conclusion, discussing future developments in the field.
When submitting articles, authors should include three files: the original article file (without author names), the authors' profile file (including their academic titles), and any necessary images or figures.
Terms and Conditions for Article Acceptance:
1. The article must be the result of the author's original research and meet the required quality standards for presentation at scientific gatherings.
2. The article should be clear, grammatically correct, and incorporate Persian equivalents for foreign terms when applicable.
3. Authors must provide full details, including name, address, educational level, academic rank, organizational affiliation, email address, and contact number.
4. The scientific degrees or educational qualifications of the author(s) will be included in the journal upon verification.
5. The submitting author will be the primary contact for correspondence regarding the article.
6. The order and responsibility of authors listed in the article will remain unchanged after submission.
7. The article must not have been published elsewhere under the same title or in any other format.
8. The journal reserves the right to edit articles for clarity without altering their content.
9. The responsible author is accountable for the scientific accuracy and professional integrity of the article and must protect the rights of other authors.
10. The journal retains the discretion to accept or reject submitted articles.
11. The article's acceptance certificate will be issued only after corrections and final approval.
Structure of a Scientific-Research Article:
The structure of a scientific-research article should follow this format:
A) Introduction Section:
- Concise and clear title.
- Author(s) name, university/employment affiliation, academic degree, and position.
- Persian and English abstracts (maximum 200 words each) summarizing the purpose, population/sample, methodology, data analysis, and results.
- Three to five keywords.
B) Main Section:
- Introduction: Introduces the research problem, provides background information, states research questions/hypotheses, and defines variables.
- Research Method: Describes the research plan, population/sample, sampling method, research tools, and data analysis method.
- Findings: Presents descriptive and inferential findings, including tables, graphs, and statistical analyses.
- Discussion and Conclusion: Interprets and evaluates results, discusses implications, limitations, and future directions, and concludes with recommendations.
Reference Method:
Authors should follow these guidelines for referencing:
- Use Persian numerals for in-text citations throughout the article.
- Arrange references alphabetically by authors' last names.
- Include four types of sources: articles from reputable publications, books, theses, and conference papers.
- Provide complete citation details in the reference list at the end of the article.
- Follow APA formatting guidelines for citing sources within the text, in footnotes, and in the reference list.
These guidelines aim to ensure the clarity, accuracy, and integrity of articles published in the Quarterly "Langauge Studies and Military Translation."
