Teaching foreign languages at Military University of Imam Ali (PBUH), considering the prevailing conditions in a military environment, has always been one of the most challenging educational topics in past periods. In the curriculum of Military University of Imam Ali (PBUH), Arabic language was only allocated 7 credit hours in grammar (3 credits for morphology and 4 credits for syntax) for students specializing in theology. However, considering the official language of the Persian Gulf countries and neighboring nations, it seems evident that future officers should be familiar with the Arabic language. This study, using a descriptive-analytical method, aims not only to present the challenges of teaching Arabic at this academy but also to propose appropriate solutions to address these issues. The research findings indicate that relying on traditional grammar-based methods for teaching Arabic, as in the past, is not sufficiently effective, and it is necessary to adopt modern methods with an emphasis on teaching the four language skills, which is a necessity.
