چکیده
First language (L1) acquisition studies have evoked a significant deal of research in both linguistic and cognitive science. Accordingly, the present review aimed at exploring the mechanisms children rely on as they acquire language, how they go through the developmental stages, and how continuity and change go hand in hand in L1 acquisition.
