Technological developments over the past decade have fundamentally transformed approaches to foreign language education, with artificial intelligence recognized as one of the primary drivers of this transformation. This article aims to examine the applications of artificial intelligence in teaching English language skills within military higher education settings and to analyze its associated opportunities and challenges. Employing an analytical-review methodology grounded in recent scholarly sources, this research investigates the theoretical, practical, and implementational dimensions of leveraging machine learning, natural language processing, and intelligent tutoring systems. Findings indicate that the purposeful integration of these technologies can enable personalized instruction, improve language proficiency assessment, and enhance learning efficiency, while also raising challenges related to data security and ethical considerations. The article concludes by proposing strategies for the systematic integration of these technologies into the curricula of military universities.
